You may have noticed crews onsite near the water treatment plant these past few weeks. They have installed brackets along the cliff to support the temporary water line we have been using post freeze.
Today, the crews are moving the temporary water line into the new brackets so the line will be more secure along the cliff. They will need to shut off the water intake from the lake to the plant during this process. Estimated time is one to two days.
Out of an abundance of caution, we have raised the level of drinking water in the tanks to ensure there is no interruption of service to customers.
We will provide additional updates throughout this process and the installation of the new raw water line, which will begin soon.
